Leon van Ooijen graduated from TU Delft, at the chair of Architectural Engineering. In his final work he combined the transformation of an existing offiice building with the principle of energy neutrality.
These two themes remain constant in his work, as both the energy problem and the vacant spaces in cities remain challenges of this time.
He worked for four years at Bureau de Gruyter and as energy advisor for large projects.
